Happy Halloween!

DSC02956Hoi allemaal! Het is vandaag 31 oktober, dus… Halloween! Hoewel wij het in Nederland eigenlijk niet echt vieren, is het toch best een toffe feestdag en het leek me leuk om wat leestips te geven die hierbij passen! Ik heb mijn kast even overhoop gegooid en alle toffe (YA) spook- en griezelverhalen voor jullie opgezocht!

Denk bijvoorbeeld aan de verhalen van Neil Gaiman. The Graveyard book gaat over een jongetje dat op een kerkhof leeft en Coraline komt in een griezelige spiegelwereld terecht. Je kunt ook kiezen voor de serie Miss Peregrine’s home for peculiar children, een paranormale alternatieve realiteit waarin de kinderen bijzondere krachten hebben en nachtmerriemonsters een rol spelen. Een ander boek dat goed in de setting van Halloween past, is Possessed van Kate Cann, een verhaal over een spookhuis. Ten slotte, mijn persoonlijke favoriet, Through the woods van Emily Carroll: een graphic novel met horror sprookjes. Lees deze niet voordat je gaat slapen!
