Ik kreeg dit boek voor mijn verjaardag van een vriendin van me. Whee, een nieuwe Alice in Wonderland adaptatie! En hij viel niet tegen! Wat een tof boek! 🙂

Ik vond het een erg leuk verhaal, met een goed plot. Het is ook echt heel erg spannend, je blijft continu doorlezen. Ik geloof dat ik in 2 dagen het boek uit had.

Het is een originele adaptatie van Alice. Ik dacht eerst dat het boek veel op Splintered zou lijken, maar dat was gelukkig niet het geval (niet omdat ik Splintered niet tof vond, juist wel, maar ik wilde een ander verhaal lezen, en dat lukte gelukkig). Splintered is meer sprookjesachtig, dit verhaal was meer vechten en meer realistisch. Dat klinkt misschien een beetje raar, maar er zit een deel in waarin Alyss terug gaat naar de ‘normale’ wereld en dat is een vrij realistisch stuk.

Verder vind ik de personages goed uitgewerkt. Alyss is cool, en wat ze met haar imagination kan is echt super gaaf. Ik vind het ook erg leuk wat ze met Chessie en de Mad Hatter gedaan hebben in deze adaptatie 🙂
